The National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority “Tanmia” at its headquarters in Dubai organized a number of events on the occasion of “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day,” which was launched by the state to coincide with the ninth anniversary of the passing of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God Almighty willing. May God bless him.”Nasser Butti Al Shamsi, Director General of the Authority, confirmed during a speech he delivered at the opening of the events that Zayed Humanitarian Work Day comes to emphasize the feelings of love and loyalty that we store in our hearts for the founder of the UAE and the builder of its renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul.”Al Shamsi said, “We all learned from his school, may God have mercy on him, which is full of lofty meanings and noble goals, raising awareness of the importance of humanitarian work in enhancing societal security and the culture of self-initiative to do good for future generations, extending a helping hand to those in need and drawing joy on their lips.”Al Shamsi added that the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which falls on the 19th of Ramadan, the day on which Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan moved to the side of his Lord, comes as an embodiment of the cohesion of all the people of the country. The Emirates show their feelings of love and loyalty to him and to commemorate his many exploits that reached every corner of the world. This is not new for the people of the Emirates who learned from his source and learned in his school.He pointed out that the giving initiatives are still continuing and have not stopped, as His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers, Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, continue in their approach. And all the people of the Emirates to do good and serve humanity.The activities organized by “Tanmia” on this occasion included a screening of a brief film entitled “From the Heart… to the one who inhabits every heart,” which included scenes from the life of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his interest and keenness in building the UAE, in addition to a poetry symposium that included a number of his poems. May God have mercy on him, and a symposium entitled “Zayed… A State in a Man,” delivered by the writer and researcher Sheikha Al-Mutairi, Head of the National Heritage Department at the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage.The activities also included organizing a special pavilion for wall paintings containing some of his famous sayings and an exhibition of photos related to the development process and the comprehensive urban renaissance.
